South Plains Public Health District Website Design Project

The South Plains Public Health District was established in 1941 with the purpose of addressing the public health needs of our participating counties in Texas. The Health District is funded by participating cities, counties, as well as federal and state grants. Gaines, Yoakum, Terry, and Dawson Counties are the counties that make up the South Plains Public Health District.

It is the mission of the South Plains Public Health District, a non-profit governmental agency working in partnership with the city and county governments of Gaines, Terry, Dawson and Yoakum to provide education and response services to the community to promote the health and preparedness of our citizens, prevent illness, and protect the environment.

Public service websites must be easy to use

The website for a public health district must be easy to use and informative. The website should provide users with essential information such as the location of health centers, contact information, and available services. It should also include links to other related websites and resources, such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and other local, state, and national agencies. Additionally, the website should provide information about health-related events, such as health fairs and community health education programs. The website should also be interactive, allowing users to ask questions and receive answers from health professionals. Finally, the website should provide users with access to health-related news and updates. By making the website user-friendly, the South Plains Health District can ensure that its public service website is an effective communication tool for years to come.
